Often overlooked in the madness of holiday shopping is perhaps the most important question of all: what’s for Christmas dinner? ‘Tis the season to be jolly and nothing takes the cheer out of the season like a burnt ham. This year, let the pros do the cooking for the family so that all you have to worry about is opening presents. Aside from milk and cookies, it’s what Santa would want.

From the Italian “Feast of the Seven Fishes” to all-you-can-eat meat at Brazilian churrascarias, there’s plenty of variety to make everyone happy. Not having to do dishes is a gift itself but if you’re still looking for gift ideas, a scrumptious meal at one of the following restaurants surely fits the bill. So don’t be Scrooge; check out the mapped list below and start making plans because you shouldn’t have to endure another year of bad Chinese takeout on Christmas Day or Eve.

Di Pescara

North Shore residents can treat themselves to a festive meal on Christmas Day, featuring Di Pescara’s cold water twin lobster tail special, served with mac and cheese. The dinner is $32.95 while the regular menu is also available from noon to 7 p.m.

Intro

Executive chef Stephen Gillanders is cooking up a family-style Chinese Christmas Eve dinner. Enjoy elevated takes on staples, including truffle egg drop soup; foie gras fried rice; roasted Peking duck; and eggtartbrulee. The cost is $98. Intro’s visiting Chef Osaka’s Japanese Trattoria a la carte menu will also be available.

Nacional 27

Celebrate the holiday season with Cuban flavors at Nacional 27 on Christmas Eve. The $45 four-course menu offers a tapas sampling, hearts of palm salad, choice of entrée and pumpkin flan. Guests can also add an optional ceviche course for $9.

RPM Italian

Join the Italian restaurant on Christmas Eve for an updated version of the classic Feast of the Seven Fishes. The festive meal will include an array of traditional fare like roasted Maine lobster and frutti di mare with artisanal pasta, as well as a sweet ending. Priced at $75 per person. The regular dinner menu will also be offered throughout the evening.
