Thanksgiving can be stressful enough without also worrying about how long to cook the turkey. Whether you enjoy hosting at home but don’t want to spend all day in the kitchen or would like to leave all the work – including the cleanup – to someone else, these area restaurants can be your holiday helpers. Call now to reserve a spot at one of their holiday feasts or to order dishes to go.

Shaw’s Crab House

1900 E. Higgins Road, Schaumburg, 847-517-2722

Shrimp cocktail, smoked trout deviled eggs, herb-roasted turkey with cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, blue crab dip, sweet potatoes with pecan streusel, pumpkin cheesecake and caramel apples are just some of the dishes you’ll find at the buffet offered from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for $59 or $12 for kids ages 7-13. Kids younger than 7 eat free.

Bub City

5441 Park Place, Rosemont, 847-261-0399

Take home a whole smoked turkey, cornbread and sage stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberries and an autumn salad for $23.95 per person (eight-person minimum). You can also add extra sides, vegetables, smoked meats and pies. Place your order for the barbecue restaurant’s Thanksgiving to-go package by Nov. 21 and you can pick it up from 4-8 p.m. Nov. 22.

L. Woods Tap and Pine Lodge

Order enough oven-roasted turkey breast and gravy to serve 8-10 people for $60.95 and you can customize your meal by adding group-sized portions of Caesar salad ($28.95), stuffing ($26.95), pecan pie ($22.95) and more. Orders must be placed by Nov. 20 for pickup from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 22. All items are served cold with heating instructions included.

Di Pescara

A three-course, family-style menu offered from noon to 7 p.m. includes butternut squash ravioli, roasted turkey, gravy, rosemary and sage stuffing, cranberry and orange relish, sliced baked sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie. If you don’t like turkey, you can substitute almond-crusted whitefish or petite filet mignon for $4 extra. The meal is $39.95 or half-price for kids ages 5-12 and is also available for takeout.

Reel Club

272 Oak Brook Center, Oak Brook, 630-368-9400

The seafood restaurant’s buffet puts king crab, oysters Rockefeller and sushi alongside roasted turkey, carved prime rib, garlic mashed potatoes and other holiday classics. The meal is offered from 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. and costs $49.95 of $19.95 for kids age 6-12. Younger kids eat free.

The chain of restaurants serves a family-style menu for $47.95 or $21.95 for kids younger than 13 that includes cornbread, Caesar salad, spit-roasted turkey, five-grain wild rice, sweet potato casserole, pumpkin pie and key lime pie. Gluten-free options are also offered. The same dishes are available as carryout platters serving eight to 10 people. All locations are open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
